Description
Coal Car by Roberta Byram. The Ohio Valley has coal! Coal mines, coal on barges going down the river and railroad cars full of coal taking it to a factory or mill. I grew up with coal---even a coal furnace that had to be stoked in the middle of the night. It heated our entire house. I saw this coal car and many others on Route 7 going south along the Ohio River. This image has not had any digital enhancement.
