Wagon in Asheville by Roberta Byram. Day 99 for 365 Challenge: Theme: Journal/Diary. Day 99 has my head in Ashville North Carolina! I love this place. The Biltmore House is in this town and there is a little village called…Biltmore Village! There is a great restaurant right in front of the train tracks and there are train memorabilia scattered along the sidewalk. This old wagon is just one of them.

When I was young and we lived on the farm that was also a citrus grove, after hand packing the bushel baskets with fruit they were carried to the train station where they were unloaded onto these wagons to be put on boxcars before they were off to Chicago. I once rode the train from Chicago to that train station - three days it took and I arrived at night. rd
