The Cowboy by Roberta Byram. It is in the eyes...they hold the story of the life of a cowboy. It makes me wonder where this cowboy has been, what he has done, and what his eyes have seen. Whatever the answers to those questions, his life as a cowboy led him to where he is in this picture...leading the cattle drive in the Stockyards in Fort Worth Texas and he does it well! The Stockyards in Fort Worth, Texas is an excellent place to see a cattle drive! Twice a day the street is cleared of people and the longhorn steers are herded down the middle of the brick street from the stocks. Authentic cowboys and/or cattlemen and yes, women, lead these awkward cattle for all to see!
